Technology
Software and hardware expertise built around the latest Qualcomm Bluetooth platforms.
Software
We focus on Bluetooth audio transmission and reception, building continuously on Qualcomm’s latest QCC chip platforms:
- LDAC encoding on QCC chips, giving iOS users a high-resolution wireless option
- LightSync, our own low-latency codec — under 20ms in general use, and under 6ms in a variant tuned for subwoofers
- LE Audio, the newest generation of Bluetooth, opening up gaming, broadcast, and hearing-aid use cases. This includes Auracast broadcast (one source streaming to unlimited receivers) and Unicast point-to-point transmission (better sound quality, lower power, lower latency)
- Customization on the Kymera platform — configurable DSP and support for porting third-party codecs, full aptX codec family support, and MFi certification
Hardware
Our hardware integration and structural design capability covers customers’ deeper design requirements:
- Display solutions on both LCD (SPI) and OLED (I2C) interfaces
- HDMI ARC audio return, letting a TV’s audio pass wirelessly to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones
- Bluetooth modules built on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon Sound platform
What’s next
We’re also tracking Qualcomm’s XPAN technology, a new connectivity approach that keeps earbuds reliably connected to a phone even across rooms or floors, at power levels low enough for earbuds — paired with Snapdragon Sound to deliver lossless audio up to 192kHz.
