4 Getting started
1. Connect a source
USB is the default input on EV160. Connect a computer or phone to the USB-marked port. A TV can use optical, coaxial or HDMI ARC (ARC version), and other analog sources connect to RCA IN.
To play through local speakers at the same time, connect Optical OUT, Coaxial OUT or RCA OUT to an amplifier or powered speakers.
2. Power on
- Connect power to the lightning-bolt-marked port. The device can also run from a computer or phone on the USB-marked port alone, but a phone will drain faster.
- Press and hold the rotary encoder for about 1 second to power on.
3. Pair headphones or speakers
- Put your Bluetooth headphones or speakers into pairing mode.
- On the Bluetooth page, choose a pairing mode:
- App — choose the target headphones in Gigawit Control.
- Auto — search for the target headphones with the automatic pairing flow.
- You can also go to
Bluetooth → Pair, or double-press to enter pairing.
4. Choose a codec (optional)
EV160 uses LDAC first by default. To set a preferred codec, go to Bluetooth → Codecs. With LDAC selected, you can choose quality priority (990 kbps), standard (660 kbps) or connection priority (330 kbps).
5. Adjust volume
Turn the rotary encoder on the Home page to adjust volume.
Factory reset
Go to System → Factory Reset.
See Features → Display and controls for all operations.
